VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES
The minimum age for all volunteer positions is 14 with a parent or 16 on your own.
Animal Care Volunteers come to the sanctuary regularly and get to know our animal residents while they assist staff with cleaning, feeding, socializing, and enrichment. Animal Care Volunteers should expect to commit to 3 hours a week for at least the first three months.
Event Volunteers assist with special events and fundraisers for the sanctuary. This may include event prep, acting as a docent, food and drink service, ensuring safe and respectful animal interactions, cleanup, and more. Please note that some events may require volunteers to be 21+.
Garden Volunteers assist with planting, watering, weeding, and harvesting in our vegetable gardens. This
is a good option for temporary volunteers, or those unable to come on a regular schedule.
Education Volunteers assist with kids camps, field trips, and writing educational materials. Because this position involves interaction with minors, we require a background check and will provide specialized training.
